Old Boy Scout Cigarette Cards Guide (Collectables)

Boy Scout Cigarette Cards (Collectables)

I've been collecting and selling trade cards, cigarette cards and related collectables for over twenty years. Before you read this guide please subscribe to my card collecting newsletters for updates on rare cards and tips on buying by Clicking Here, thank you.

Robert Baden-Powell started the scout movement in 1907. He developed the idea from his experiences with the British Army in South Africa. The Boy Scout program was created to improve the self-reliance, initiative and courage of youths. The movement grew rapidly and became the world's largest youth organisation. A few years after the movement emerged, cigarette card issuers identified its popularity and began producing sets of Boy Scout cards.

It would be impractical to list every Boy Scout set issued and so I've listed small selection of mainly the more unusual and rare card sets that I've come across in my six years of dealing on eBay. I've provided scans of a sample card from each set and tried to include all card titles.
